Toolkit Day! - My Opinion

G'day Bloggers and Blog Viewers! Today I will be sharing my opinion on Toolkit day. First off, I was having a bad hair day and I still am! I can't describe it! To do with the subject, I presented my iMovie toolkit perfectly! Well, not really. Actually, not at all! Untill I shouted out "Come on everyone! Join in my iMovie!" I wanted to make everyone participate in one huge movie. Everyone shouted, "Hay Park and Newinsor School Toolkit Rocks!" Then they went on saying other things. When I edited the iMovie, I definitley had to add slow motion. Including the song Slow Motion. I had to sing a solo of it while the video played. Unfortunately, I couldn't publish the iMovie. Other than that, good stuff.

Small PMI Chart - Toolkit Day

Namaste Blog Viewers! Today I am going to share with you my small PMI Chart about Toolkit day....

Positive
Minus
Interesting
I got everyone that attended my workshop to participate in my iMovie.

No one payed attention to me when I was giving instructions.

I didn’t win the chromebook or anything in the prize draw.

I was having a bad hair day.
There were many sponsors which gave out food, pet food and a chromebook!

Blinging Blogs! - Toolkit

Kia ora Viewers! Toolkit day! I am now in my 2nd workshop about Blinging Blogs. Can you see my progress? It has been two years since I have made a change. My favourite part is the jelly bean background. This will definitley atract more people!

Should Zoe Trust The Eels? - Floodland

Kia ora fellow viewers. Today's post is going to be about the adventurous story, Floodland. This is about a young girl who risks every desicion she makes to survive, the flood.

Date: 27/10/15

Choice: YES

I agree with Zoe trusting the eels. First of all, she doesn’t really have a choice in that situation. I mean, she needs a clan to protect and stay with her and store food. Otherwise, she would just starve to death with loneliness. Anyway, Dooby (Leader Of Tribe) is not that bad. Other than his tendency to make violental decisions, it seems that he has some good in him. Maybe sticking with Dooby might give Zoe the chance to get to know him slightly more than him just being a stranger. You can’t really trust Spat because he seems a little less encouraging. Munchkin kindly went for food to give but Spat is definitly up to something.

#LearningGEMS!

Hola blog viewers! For the past few weeks, McCahon class has been collaborating on a presentation called "#LearningGEMS" It is about what we were motivated, excited and grateful for about learning. Every student made their own slide.

Here is my slide I have created about my learning!

Book Club!

Kia ora everyone! I have been participating in a short activity called Book Club. You may have heard of it before. Book Club is related to reading, well, it is reading! There are many roles to pick from. Each person from the group, after you read a couple chapters from the book, you will have to share your template for your roles. The Discussion Director will plan out some questions to ask each person when they have their next meeting.

My roles that I played was Illustrator- drawing a picture from a paragraph that you choose- and Discussion Director- directing the meeting and asking questions about the topic/book.

The book that my group read was.....

By Jillian Sullivan.
I recommend that you read it!

Namaste Blog World! Here is another related item to The Viewer. Should Tristan....

Hint: (Every book has a twist, how about this one?)

My Comment On Nisha's Weekly Reflection!

Here is a screenshot of a comment I made on Nisha's weekly reflection. Do you think it is a quality comment?

How well did I do this week? What are my highlights?

Week 4 Term 3 Reflection 2015

Backward-Looking:
What have been your learning highlights so far this term?
I think the biggest one was camp. I have chosen this highlight because we got to experience the wildlife and many things we would never think of. This has challenged me and gave me confidence to do things I have never done before. All of the activities we did taught me to take every opportunity given to you, never give up and try new things even if it seems impossible just be persistent and determined.

Inward-Looking:
What were your Learner Profile goals for Term 3? Have your goals changed? Are you on track to meet your goals?
My main Learner Profile goal for Term 3 was to be Principled. What this means is that you try to do and make things right when there are situations that need a change. It also means to be fair with your classmates or other friends and be honest with yourself also others. This shows that you are trustworthy and you can manage yourself when doing jobs or going on trips.

Outward-Looking:
If you were the teacher, what comments would you make about your learning so far this term?
I would say that I am getting along with collaborating even if I am not used to it. This helps me to make new friends with other people I don’t usually hang out with. Also that I am resilient when things don’t go my way and I have leadership when having to show others what to do. Striving for accuracy is a main thing that I do and a quote says it, “The sky’s the limit!”.

Forward-Looking:
As you look back at your learning so far, what's one thing that you would like to try to improve upon over the next few weeks?

I think the mistake that still follows me around is not putting links to my work I have done. I do my activities and follow up tasks but some how I have no time to show the evidence for them. The way I can improve on my mistake is by screenshotting my finished work and add a link to it. Unless it is a document then I will just add the link when I have finished my work.

My Quality Blog Comment On A Classmate's Remember When Poem!

Hi blog world! My last post was about my Remember When Poem and a collage. But now, I have made a Qualiy Blog Comment on my classmate Evanjaline's blog post with her Poem and Collage.
Do you really think this is a Quality Comment?

Remember When.... Poem (With Collage!) Camp 2015

Hi Blog World! This is my Remember When Poem including a collage! This is about the Camp we went to at Long Bay (MERC). Hope you enjoy!

That Was Camp.

Remember when we hopped on the bus and had a great party on the way to camp and how all of us joined in as we sung songs?
Remember the time when we first arrived at camp and we heard the splish sploshing sounds of the rain drops?
That was camp.

Remember how we set up our beds and felt like this day will be remembered forever?
Remember the time when we did our first activity and realised that there is going to be way more ahead of us?
That was Camp.

Remember that night at camp when we first took a look at our dinner for the night and licked our lips as our tummies rumbled monstrously?
Do you remember when Orlando audaciously took on the great waves when we went out for surfing?

That was CAMP!

GEGNZ Hobsonville Workshops!

Good morning Blog world! Yesterday Evanjaline, Damien, Simeon and I were lucky enough to go to the Hobsonville Primary School Workshops! I was even more lucky because our classmate Nisha was supposed to go instead of me but she was sadly sick.

Then we finally got back to school at 3:30 with our amazing Swag Bags!

Sleeping Over at School?! Quad Blogging

Hola Blog world! I would like to share with you a comment I have made on Pukekawa School's Blog! The post I commented on was when they had a sleep over at school. I was amazed that they stayed a night away from home at school! What I like about Quad Blogging is that you can learn from other school's posts and start conversations with them by asking questions and making connections.

Term 2 Is Done! Term 2 Reflection

Backward-Looking:
What have been your learning highlights this term?
One of my highlights of this term is Teach the Teacher which was fun! I loved it because I got to teach the teacher how to play hockey and sweet as groovy skills to hitting the ball. Also some of the students came to learn how to play hockey too which made me feel like a real teacher!

Inward-Looking:
What were your Learner Profile goals for Term 2? Have your goals changed? Are you on track to meet your goals?
I think I have used all the Learner Profile goals for this term. My goals have been probably one time the same because I thought that I needed to work on the goal more. I personally think that I have totally met my goals.

Outward-Looking:
If you were the teacher, what comments would you make about your learning so far?
I would comment that I am getting along with self directed learning very well lately. Lots non-negotiables are being done each day of the week. I would also say that I am communication and collaborating with others a lot for DLOs and other interdependent tasks.

Forward-Looking:
As you look back at your learning so far, what's one thing that you would like to try to improve upon?
I think I should improve on doing my tasks with more detail. When I look back at my tasks, there are not many statements about what I learnt while doing which activity I’ve done. I really think the main thing I need to improve on is putting more detail in my work so the reader or my check-in partner/s can understand what I am trying to share.
