What?
This week I have done 4 easTTle tests. In my 2 reading L3 and L4 tests I got a 4P! In my Math test L3 I got another 4P! My Math L4 test I got a…. 4A!

So what?
I am getting better and achieving lots of goals on the way! One of my math goals are to “Make sensible estimates and check the reasonableness of answers,” which I think I’ve achieved. My reading goal is to “Correctly understand and work out the information presented in visual texts,” which I am really good at.

Now what?
I am going to find new goals and in my reading and maths work I am going to try to achieve the national standard or even higher! I’m also going to learn my basic facts and my reading skills to try get a higher score in my coming tests.

How to survive the first night in Minecraft!

For beginners, Minecraft is a game where you can mine, craft all in survival. It’s a wonderful universe to explore and luckily today I am giving you some tips of how to survive the first night, in Minecraft….

Firstly, gather wood. You can use wood for crafting sticks, tools, crafting table and definitely making a shelter. Start mining wood and get enough to make a wooden axe. Axes are used for chopping down trees quicker and you can upgrade it too! Axes are amazing!

Meanwhile, once you have enough wood, you can start building a glorious shelter! People from around the world use wood to make cabins, skyscrapers and more. Its amazing what you can create! To start off with, maybe building a little box to save time. Finish the basic things and you can construct a plane, hotel, farm etc!

Shelters usually have doors, roofs, a bed (sleep inside and changes to daytime). You can build in multiple places! Trees, mountains, underground, mines and even in mid air! Start with building on the ground, and make sure you have 3 wool and 3 wood planks to create a bed to skip through the zombie infested night. Make sure you have sticks and coal/charcoal to place torches around your house to prevent the infected mobs from spawning.

Most important thing to surviving is food. Have a sword in hand and get resources from pigs, cows, chickens. If you are vegetarian you would probably go with carrots, potatoes, bread, cake, melons and so much more! Harvest cobblestone with a pickaxe to craft a furnace (can cook your food if coal/charcoal/wood inside).

More skilled= more challenges. Now go ahead and skip the night till day!
