Unfortunitly, this will be my last post on this blog. I will miss you deeply. Instead of giving a sad speech, here is a happy I Remember Presentation!

MY FRIENDS
I was a Year 6 student at Hay Park School in Auckland, NZ. I was in McCahon Class and my teacher was Mrs Kingston. This is where I shared my learning.

I think the biggest one was camp. I have chosen this highlight because we got to experience the wildlife and many things we would never think of. This has challenged me and gave me confidence to do things I have never done before. All of the activities we did taught me to take every opportunity given to you, never give up and try new things even if it seems impossible just be persistent and determined.

My main Learner Profile goal for Term 3 was to be Principled. What this means is that you try to do and make things right when there are situations that need a change. It also means to be fair with your classmates or other friends and be honest with yourself also others. This shows that you are trustworthy and you can manage yourself when doing jobs or going on trips.

I would say that I am getting along with collaborating even if I am not used to it. This helps me to make new friends with other people I don’t usually hang out with. Also that I am resilient when things don’t go my way and I have leadership when having to show others what to do. Striving for accuracy is a main thing that I do and a quote says it, “The sky’s the limit!”.

I think the mistake that still follows me around is not putting links to my work I have done. I do my activities and follow up tasks but some how I have no time to show the evidence for them. The way I can improve on my mistake is by screenshotting my finished work and add a link to it. Unless it is a document then I will just add the link when I have finished my work.

One of my highlights of this term is Teach the Teacher which was fun! I loved it because I got to teach the teacher how to play hockey and sweet as groovy skills to hitting the ball. Also some of the students came to learn how to play hockey too which made me feel like a real teacher!

I think I have used all the Learner Profile goals for this term. My goals have been probably one time the same because I thought that I needed to work on the goal more. I personally think that I have totally met my goals.

I would comment that I am getting along with self directed learning very well lately. Lots non-negotiables are being done each day of the week. I would also say that I am communication and collaborating with others a lot for DLOs and other interdependent tasks.

I think I should improve on doing my tasks with more detail. When I look back at my tasks, there are not many statements about what I learnt while doing which activity I’ve done. I really think the main thing I need to improve on is putting more detail in my work so the reader or my check-in partner/s can understand what I am trying to share.
